Rust Pond Description

Rust Pond is a god alternative to busy Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Wentworth which are often very windy and heavily laden with boat traffic. Located south of Wolfeboro on Rt. 28 between the 2 larger lakes, Rust Pond is a good place to fish for Smallmouth Bass and Chain Pickerel from a small car-top boat or canoe. The lightly developed shoreline is mostly wooded, but there are some meadows. There is public access to this pond on the western and northwestern areas of the pond in South Wolfeboro. Average ice-out is late April.
