maineiacinnh reviewed the location Naticook Lake.
A nice pond to paddle on if you live in the area. I was surprised that the Black Crappie was not listed as a species here as that is what I primarily catch here. They tend to be on the small side but there are a few decent largemouth and pickerel here also. There are usually a few other boats on the water here it does get a fair amount of pressure but still a good place to take a kid fishing. There are a few spots you can get to from shore, but a canoe or kayak is ideal here.

maineiacinnh reviewed the location Hoods Pond.
I fished this for two hours on March 20th and caught two Largemouth under 12 inches and four pickerel between 12 and 20 inches all on topwater poppers. The action was fair but the water was disgusting. It was nice to have a little march action though and very accessible.

Now if you have the latest touch screen mobile device with HTML 5 support (iPhone, Android, Blackberry), you can visit us at http://mobile.nhfishfinder.com. The site is still in beta, but anticipate a lot of great features over the next couple weeks. Be sure to send us any features you would like to see added, and we will work to incorporate! Also, native NH Fish Finder applications coming soon!

  • NOAA Charts - We have just added NOAA Charts to our Map tab as a new Background layer! We hope these charts will help all you saltwater anglers better plot and plan your next fishing trip. NOAA Disclaimer: CHARTS ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR NAVIGATIONAL PURPOSES. These charts can be used as a planning or analysis tool but may not be used as a navigational aid. Huge thanks to Marine GeoGarage for providing the map service for us to use!

  • Cabela's - We have just teamed up with Cabela's as well! Within the next few days, expect the Find Gear section to expand with gear from the Cabela's product catalog. This new addition not only makes it easy to purchase gear, but it will also help you find items you currently own and add them to your Tackle Box. We hope this new relationship makes NH Fish Finder your one-stop-shop for all your fishing needs!

    Shop Cabelas.com!
January 10, 2011
  • Spread the Word - Throughout the site, we have added icons to make it easy to share your trips, locations, and posts with your friends in other social networks. These links should really help promote the site, so take the extra few seconds to help spread the word!

December 20, 2010
  • Bass Pro Shops - Just in time for the holidays, we have teamed up with Bass Pro Shops to add a new Find Gear section to the site. Now you can search for and purchase gear at discounted prices from Bass Pro Shops, while at the same time supporting NH Fish Finder. We have also developed the ability to add items to your "Tackle Box", so you can keep track of and share your gear with fellow anglers.

September 22, 2010
  • Layar Mobile App - We have just learned that our fishing locations and hotspots have been approved and published to the new Layar application available on the IPhone and Android. If you have one of these devices, you can download the Layar application to find fishing locations and hotspots using your phone's camera! We are also continuing to develop our custom Android application, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy using the Layar application.
April 7, 2010
  • Map Enhancements - Completely reworked the Map tab on the site. New drop down menus for the map, a location list, cleaner popups, marker management, and various performance improvements.
  • Trip Wizard - Added a Trip Wizard to make it easier to create trips! Now you can create a trip in 3 simple steps. Also, you can now define other Fish Finder users who attended the trip with you. Make them contributers so they can add photos, hotspots, and details that you might have missed.
  • Encryption - We have added RSA encryption to all login and sign up forms. It adds a couple seconds to logins, but we feel you will appreciate the extra level of security!
