Review: This could be great fishing area. But New Hampshire this recently started managing it for trout. Actually there is no management at all as far as I know. The water gets warm in the summer what is plenty suitable for brown trout. Stretches of Keene Swanzey in Winchester need to be stocked much heavier. It's a beautiful River to float down with a fly rod. But as of now have all you can expect to catch are suckers and smallmouth bass. Although I have cut plenty of trout I think most of them have found their way there from other areas and small tributaries that have native brook trout. California Brook has a lot of trout and is not very fishable that find their way down into the ashuelot. And there are many others like this. Urge your local office to put more fish in this River. It's a river that should have tons of trout and local guides. People have no vision.
