Third Connecticut Lake Description

Third Connecticut Lake is located just south of the Quebec border at the extreme northern tip of NH. A natural body of water in a wilderness area, it offers fine trout fishing through the spring, summer and fall. Ice-out usually happens in mid-May. The shoreline is heavily wooded and the lake has a gravel bottom. Access to the lake is at a state owned gravel launch site on Route 3 along the eastern shore(no ramp). Third Connecticut Lake is a good fishing spot for an angler with a small boat or for those who would rather not fish some of the larger lakes in the area.
