While in Virginia back in 2007

I leisurely went croaker fishing out of
Hampton Rhodes (Chesapeake Bay area)
a full 8 hours for $20 in 30-50 feet of water,
using 2-to-6lb. test line

Yes they are tough critters....

and ya gotta look at it this way...
the more primitive the fish, the tougher they are
unlike the prima donna's of the fishworld
like perch, trout and sal ...
