Every time I fish here it's good for half a dzoen largemouth fishing from the canoe using a spinner rod and berkeley power worms cast along the shore near the docks.
I've also done some shore fishing and pulled out some largemouth at the side opposite the beach. This place has the healthiest looking bass I've ever seen. (As seen in my pics.)
My father usually trolls using his fly rod and self tied flies and catches bluegill every couple of minutes. -
pretty good bass fishing here as well in may and august. Some of the people that live on the pond in the area are not fond of fisherman fishing there. Had a lady get into an argument with us about parking and staying there a little late.

While this pond produces an occasional bass and few panfish, the main interest for fishermen has always been the trout. This is undoubtedly one of the better cold water fisheries in eastern Massachusetts, and fishing pressure can be quite high, particularly in the spring and during the ice fishing season. Trout often holdover from year to year and sometimes grow to substantial size. In view of this, White Pond was designated one of seven waters in the state to be placed under special brown trout management regulations. The daily brown trout limit is now one per day, with a minimum length of 15 inches.
White Pond Description
This deep, 43-acre natural great pond is located about a half mile north of Route 117 in Concord. Maximum depth is 53 feet; average depth is 30 feet; transparency is 15 feet or better. The bottom is predominantly sand and gravel, and aquatic vegetation is scant. The shorelines are moderately developed, particularly along the northwestern and southeastern shores. Public access is provided by a gravel ramp on the pond’s northeastern tip. It is owned by the Public Access Board and suitable for car top boats and canoes. This access, which includes a parking lot that accommodates approximately six vehicles, is restricted to certain hours of use by the town’s daily closure of the gate. There is no fee to launch. No gas-powered motors are allowed on the pond, but electric motors are permitted. Access for shoreline fishing is restricted to the area on either side of the launch ramp, and another town-owned area, accessible from Route 117. Fish Populations: smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, golden shiner, bluegill and pumpkinseed. It is heavily stocked, spring and fall, with rainbow trout, brook trout and brown trout.
