Granite Lake Description

Granite Lake is a pristine, spring-fed lake located about 15 miles east of Keene, NH between the Towns of Nelson and Stoddard, NH. The Granite Lake Association is a 50+ year-old nonprofit association comprised mostly of members who are homeowners with lake frontage on, or with lake rights to, Granite Lake. While there is no public beach or swimming area, a boat launch is available. The lake is just off Route 9 and boats can easily be launched from a public launching ramp on the southern shore. The shoreline is heavily wooded. The pond has a rock, gravel and sand bottom. There is good smallmouth bass fishing near the island in the northern end of the lake. Average ice-out is April 1.
