Canobie Lake Description

Canobie Lake is well known for Canobie Lake Park, an amusement park on the lake's eastern shore. The rest of the shoreline is moderately-heavily developed. Canobie Lake contains both warm and cold water fish and is stocked with Rainbow Trout every spring and fall. Because the area is heavily populated, the lake recieves a good amount of fishing pressure for Rainbow Trout. Bait seems to be the best way to take the trout; local favorites are salmon eggs and marshmallows. Ice-out usually occurs during the last week or 2 of April. There is no public boat access. Canobie Lake consists of docks, ledges, coves, weedlines and brush.
