Beaver Dam Pond Description

Beaver Dam Pond is a shallow, warm water pond. The water is very dark and the water quality is not considered suitable for coldwater
fishes. The pond is stocked with "put-and-take" brook trout each spring but there is very little if any carry-over due to the warm water and oxygen deficiencies during the late summer.
To provide a "put-and-take;' trout fishery in this area of Maine that does not have many natural trout waters, it is recommended that the
usual stocking of brook trout continue
