Ashuelot Pond Description

Ashuelot pond is a natural body of water located in the southern part of sullivan county. A relatively shallow pond with rocky bottom in some areas and muddy bottom in others, it's fishing is confined to warm water species. While not noted for summer fishing, ice fishing here is excellent for the species listed. Boating access is at the unpaved public ramp. Average ice-out can be expected May 1.

Ashuelot Pond is a 368 acre (149 ha)[1] water body located in Sullivan County in western New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Washington. It is situated along the upper reaches of the Ashuelot River, a tributary of the Connecticut River. The pond is good for boating, fishing, and wildlife watching. Jet skis are prohibited by the state of New Hampshire. The pond mostly has a muddy bottom, but there is a sandy beach on the side across from the boat launch, at a big triangle-shaped rock on the southwestern shore. ACCESS: Gravel to sand, park 4-5 trailers, adequate turnaround available.
