After back to back business trips to DC, San Diego, and now San Antonio, I finally found some downtime to get a fishing trip in. Just got back from a guided fly fishing trip down the Guadalupe River in Gruene, TX. Caught a variety of species including Largemouths, Smallmouths, Rio Grande Perch, and several Sunfish types.

Headed out to the Salmon River for only the second time this year! Baby Dave's taking up my time these days. Water level was rediculously high from rain storm the night before, so I only caught one brookie. Still nice to get out on the water.

McCarthy, AK
Fred, Nate, Ford, and myself took a trip out to Alaska to hike, backpack, and fish Wrangel St. Elias National Park and Denali National Park. The trip started with flying into Anchorage, AK. We then drove to McCarthy where we picked up a bush plane to drop us into Tebay Lakes in Wrangel St. Elias. Spent 5 days catching tons of Rainbows in and around the lakes. After Tebay Lakes, we took the Denali Highway up to Denali National Park. Fished the creeks and streams along Denali Hwy for Graylings and Rainbows. Then spent the last days in Denali National Park for wildlife viewing.

Went up to the Adirondacks for Memorial Day weekend with Nate and Fred. Started out fishing the Ausable River for browns and rainbows then jumped over to the St. Regis Canoe Area to test our luck with lake trout. Overall, a great weekend with success at both areas:

Fred: 1 Brown, 1 Rainbow (Lunker)

Went to Dooley Pond to try out the new canoe for the first time. The wind continued to push us to the northern end of the pond so we ended up paddling probably more then fishing. Kristen caught a Yellow Perch and I got a Black Crappie.

Went out to fish the Jeremy and Upper Salmon River this afternoon. Been a while since I've been out and had little luck (only one small trout), but still good to get out and try different areas of the river.

Hey so I went on this sight cause I live on the east branch of the ware river in Rutland and I wanted to know about a species I've been catching but can't identify, but on your list I think the info is slightly off. First thing there is no mention of the bullhead catfish that lives here or the bottom feeder I haven't been able to identify. Also on the list I saw large mouth bass but I've never seen any here. It could always just be on the other end but I found it odd. Would like to see those changes

Dave, I like this website. How do I join or start a group of fishermen to go out fishing that would be in my area?

Hi Gentlemen

I'm originally from South FL, moved to MArlborough, 5 years ago..Now, living on Cranberry E.Wareham, past 2 mo's .
My back yard is UNION POND.
No activity as yet, water temp, low 40's.
I'm ready to see something with scales in Union Pond
Neighbors tell me.. too many of the locals are meat fisherman, they fish everyday.. release nothing.
Won't mention a name ..you know who you are.. last summer too you k 11 fish all in the 8-10#. range, totally unnecessary.
Give the Bass a chance to reproduce..as fish this produce 100's of thousands of young annually.
I for 1 would like to see UNION POND become CATCH/RELEASE,only !
