Rated one of the cleanest lakes in New Hampshire, Lake Armington is located in the foothills of the White Mountains in Piermont, New Hampshire. The Lake has loons, ducks & fishing (stocked) (you can purchase a license in nearby Warren, NH). In addition to the lake, you can enjoy all of the fun things to do in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Try Armington for trout, bass, or perch. Lake Armington is located 2.75 hours by car from Boston, and 5.5 hours from New York.
Fly, spin, or bait casting rods all work. Fish the west side for bass, and try spinner baits. Troll for trout along the eastern shore, down to the point and back. Smelt or perch imitation streamers have worked for me. Crayfish and night crawlers will work in the summer.
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a location with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first location has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second location, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
